We want to inform you that the upcoming US Election may significantly impact the financial markets. Increased volatility can bring increased trading opportunities but also comes with increased risk and may result in changes to market spreads and pricing. We encourage clients to ensure their accounts are sufficiently margined over this period. To ensure you are prepared, we recommend reviewing your available margin, open positions, and orders ahead of the election.
What should I do to prepare?
- Check your funds: Ensure you have adequate funds in your account to meet minimum margin requirements.
- Review open positions: Confirm that all your open positions will be sufficiently margined if the market moves.
- Risk management tools: Use additional order types, such as stop-loss or limit orders, to help manage your risk effectively.

Scheduled MyAccount maintenance on 16 October
From 9am BST (10am CET) on Saturday 16 October, there is planned maintenance work which will impact access to certain services. This interruption is expected to last approximately six hours.
The following services will be impacted:
MyAccount
- Limited access, with funding, withdrawals and all other services temporarily disabled
Application forms
- Applications forms for new accounts will be unavailable at this time
- You’ll be unable to register for a demo account
Forgotten passwords
- You will not be able to reset your password during this time
You’ll still be able to login to your account and view your positions, as well as open or close any new/existing positions. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
